On the pitch since 2013
BDF Sport Events was born in Naples from the experience of Luigi Santoro and organises the International Tournament Davide Nuzzo.
Our story
A football
family
BDF Sport Events organises national and international youth football events. The project was born in 2013 from the experience of Luigi Santoro, a young Neapolitan club president and entrepreneur, who founded the Blue Devils football school in the same year.
For the Santoro family, football runs in the blood: since 1992 Luigi’s father Franco has been the patron of the historic A.S. Napoli Nord, a breeding ground for many Neapolitan talents and, in the 1990s, one of the first clubs in southern Italy affiliated with Parma F.C. Players such as Gigi Riccio, Generoso Rossi and Antonio Di Nardo came through its ranks.
At the heart of our work is the International Tournament Davide Nuzzo: from the first Memorial in 2013 to a tournament that welcomed 32 teams from 12 nations in Arezzo in 2024. The 13th edition is played in Naples from 4 to 6 June 2027.

2013
In memory of Davide Nuzzo, the first Memorial is born: Blue Devils against SSC Napoli.

2015
At the 2nd Trophy, Patrizio Oliva and Luigi Caffarelli present the awards.

2017
The 3rd Trophy goes to Napoli.

2018
The 4th Trophy, at Il Nuovo Grillo, goes to Napoli again.

2019
At the 5th Trophy, 1,500 people and around 300 Under-12 players: Casarea win.

2021
At the 7th Trophy Juventus win the final against Roma, broadcast on Sky.

2022
The 8th International Trophy is played in Arezzo, Estra Cup: Milan beat Brommapojkarna in the final.

2023
9th edition in Arezzo: Milan win the final against Lazio.

2024
The 10th edition in Arezzo: 32 teams from 12 nations, Javier Zanetti with his wife Paula and the initiative for the PUPI Foundation. Fiorentina win.

2025
11th edition in Altopascio (Lucca): Juventus win, Roma second.

2026
12th edition in Naples: Juventus win, Lazio second.

2027
13th edition in Naples, 4–6 June: from this year the age group is Under 14.
Our tribute to Davide Nuzzo
«Dad, don’t worry, I play to have fun!»
He used to say it to his dad before every match. Davide, a young Blue Devil, passed away in August 2013. Since then a tournament in his memory has brought young players from all over Italy and Europe onto the pitch.
